Privacy Policy — My Tools

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how AH Software ("we", "us") handles information when you use My Tools (the "App"). We collect as little as possible: the App's features run on your device, and we do not sell your personal data.

Device permissions

The App asks for these permissions only to provide its features. You can revoke them at any time in your device settings; some features may then stop working.

• Notifications — to show reminders, recording status or controls you have turned on.
• Internet access — to connect to the online services described in this policy.

Advertising

The App shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address and information about your interaction with ads to show and measure ads, which may include personalized ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings. How Google uses data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Analytics and crash reports

We use the Google Firebase services below to understand how the App is used and to fix problems. They collect device and app information such as device model, OS version, app version, an app instance ID and crash logs; they do not collect the content you create. • Google Analytics for Firebase — app usage statistics.
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports and diagnostic logs.

Your account and synced data

If you create an account, we use Firebase Authentication (Google) to sign you in (for example with email and password or with your Google account). We store your email address and account ID, and the content you choose to save in the App is stored in Google Cloud Firestore so it can sync across your devices. Only you can access your synced data through the App.

Third-party services

Some features send data to these services when you use them:

• USDA FoodData Central — the food names you search for are sent to look up nutrition information.
• Google Translate — the food names you search for are sent to Google to translate them into English for the nutrition lookup, and the app's built-in activity names are sent to translate them into your language.
• Random Word API, Free Dictionary API and Datamuse — for the word of the day, the app requests a random word and its definition and related words; no personal data other than your IP address is sent.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only with the service providers named in this policy, so that they can provide their services to us, or when required by law.

Security

Data sent between the App and the services above is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Data retention and deletion

Your account and synced data are kept until you delete your account. To delete your account and all associated data, follow the steps at https://ahsoftware.app/mytools/delete-account. We complete deletion requests within 30 days.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the updated policy.
